Shopify Website Examples

Inspiration is necessary no matter what project you’re working on, and building a website is no exception. Take a look at these Shopify store examples. Take notes on design elements you like and some that you don’t like.

While you don’t want to copy designs from another site, using them for inspiration can boost your own creativity to find what would work best for you and your brand. Here are some of the best-looking Shopify stores for inspiration while building or revamping your website.

Blanqi

Shopify Websites - Blanqi

Blanqi’s website features a call to action pop-up offering a 15% discount that engages visitors and encourages them to sign up for the email list. The header also showcases a full-width slideshow displaying their product photos with prominent calls to action and custom action buttons.

I like that the home page has a “Give $20, Get $20” link always accessible on the left side that opens an email list signup. This is a great email marketing tactic, though it covers some menu options when using the hamburger menu. Moving that element down so it no longer covers parts of the menu could enhance the overall user experience.

Endy

Endy

This Shopify store for Endy Mattresses could be the perfect inspiration for online stores selling products that all go together. They display their product images together as a set, which inspires customers and online viewers to want the mattress and the sheet set and pillows that go with it.

Shown on their product pages, they also include options to add these extra items to your order, making it even easier to buy a complete set. The product page also includes lengthy reviews and a professional video about the product details.

Tentree

Tentree

Tentree sells a range of products, from organically made accessories to sustainable clothing. They dedicate their home page to showing their customers what they do, and why they do it.

The site uses design elements and text effects that are eye-catching and draw attention to primary elements, such as their articles about sustainability and environmental impact.

If your brand stands for something or has an overall bigger goal, displaying it on your website builds trust with your customers and makes them want to support your bigger goal.

Cupshe

Cupshe

The website design for Cupshe opens with a landing page filled with design elements. The high-quality photos look great, but the layout can be overwhelming and feels cluttered.

Throughout the home page, there are very few action buttons. The full-width images displayed are links, but the action buttons that have the illusion of being laid on top are just part of the image. This can be confusing to customers. Having clear action buttons and even implementing different hover-over 3D effects can make visitors more inclined to interact with them.

Jrink

Jrink

The website for Jrink is modern with a clean design. We’re met with a clear call to action and action buttons upon opening the website. The product photos show off the vibrant colors of the juices they sell with a distinct white background. This is a great example of how strong photography lets your products speak for you.

A useful feature I want to mention is the navigation bar. As the user scrolls down, it changes from being shown above the header to a compact hamburger-style menu in the left corner of the page. The menu remains accessible without taking away from the page.

Jake & Jones

Jake and Jones

Jake & Jones is a clothing company supporting eco-friendly designers. Their website features high-quality images that pop on top of the white background.

The header image on the landing page, while displayed at amazing quality, is very large. To get to the main content of the website, we have to scroll through the entire length of the image, which could cause impatient visitors to click away. A high-quality photo that’s not so long may be more effective.

The rest of the website design has great use of white space. The sections dedicated to specific products and collections are well-organized with noticeable action buttons.

Muse

Muse

The Muse website opens with a full-width header image, a clear call to action, and buttons to view the product. Just below the header, the impressive “As Seen On” section scrolls through magazines and newspapers that have featured Muse’s product. Sliders like this build trust with customers and raise product quality expectations.

A notable element of this site is the detailed product page. The page features even more social proof, along with more details about the product. Visitors can view high-quality product images, test some services, and watch videos to learn more before purchasing.

Manitobah

Manitobah

The website for Manitobah features beautiful photos and an engaging landing page. When first opening the site, we’re met with a large call to action, encouraging customers to sign up for an email list by offering a discount on their high-quality products.

The product pages for this site are impressive, with different angles and views of their shoes without having to scroll through images manually.

Each product has a story and an artist. You can read about the artist who made those shoes on each product page. This builds a connection and trust with interested customers in a unique way.

Bulletproof

Bulletproof

Bulletproof makes nutritionally dense products like coffee, supplements, and protein powders. Their home page is busy, with many bright colors and action buttons in orange. While this can be overstimulating, the brand mission and organization are still there in terms of design.

Not only is this company focused on displaying quality product images, but they also have other helpful content. They filled their site with helpful resources on the home page and the dedicated Learn page. This is a great way to keep loyal customers visiting your site, even if they don’t purchase something the first time.

Adored Vintage

Adored Vintage has a website design that complements the vintage-inspired theme of the brand. Using vintage-style photos with a matching background color adds to the overall aesthetic.

The header image stands out with a clear call to action to shop a specific collection. However, the transparent navigation bar (it becomes transparent as you scroll down) can be hard to read on top of the images. Adding a solid background color could improve its visibility.

The little pop-up in the bottom right corner that updates when products have been bought and offers discount codes is a great way to encourage purchases and create a sense of urgency in customers.

Decathlon

Decathlon

The website for Decathlon is well-done, with its wide range of displayed products and a well-organized drop-down menu. The landing page is busy, but the organization used makes it clear to navigate.

The “Shop All Sports” section near the home page footer is a great feature. This allows customers to shop for products based on the sport they play rather than guessing what products they may need.

This is a user-friendly option for those who may be new to sports or need some extra guidance shopping.

Pop Chart

Pop Chart

Pop Chart turns educational infographics into products you can display proudly around your house. Their website features a minimalistic design, with a white background and bold text.

The overall design of the website is user-friendly, with a large easy to navigate menu at the top of the page and an organized display of product photos on the home page.

The website flows well together, keeping the same font style with 3D effects on their action buttons.

DockATot

DockATot

DockATot makes children’s products like play tents, nursing pillows, and more for modern households. Their website is user-friendly and to the point, with a prominent navigation menu at the top of the page, and high-quality images throughout the website.

The navigation menu includes detailed drop-down options for precise site navigation no matter where you’re browsing.

The bottom of the home page is dedicated to telling their customers’ stories. I love this feature because it adds a personal effect to the brand and shows that they care about their customers.

Luca + Danni

Luca and Danni

Luca + Danni sells fun and custom handcrafted jewelry. Their website features high-quality photos and a minimal white, blue, and black color palette.

Upon visiting their landing page, their site doesn’t have a lot of content to show as far as text. Breaking up the chunky photography and action buttons on their home page with an introduction or a story about the brand could make the website feel more modern and organized.

The personal story on the About page would be a brilliant touch for the home page since it builds a connection with the customer.

ColourPop Cosmetics

ColourPop Cosmetics

ColourPop Cosmetics is a popular brand that sells a wide range of beauty products. Their website is engaging and user-friendly.

The home page opens with a full-width header, a display of their featured products, and a detailed navigation menu. The drop-down menu offers precise search options for customers looking for any product.

I love how the color of their product images flows together with the color palette used throughout the site. This helps make the brand memorable and visually pleasing for new visitors.

Perfect Keto

Perfect Keto

Perfect Keto’s website features a clean design and a solid email marketing tactic on their website. The landing page opens with a large call to action, encouraging customers to shop.

We’re redirected to the shopping page once we use the action button in the header. This page displays products with the option to filter or sort by price, category, best sellers, and more.

Their quiz is a feature I liked on this website, as it allows new users to avoid decision paralysis. All you have to do is answer a few questions, and then you’re given product recommendations that fit your lifestyle.

Burga

Burga

Burga sells stylish phone cases and other electronic covers with their Shopify website. When we first open the site, the pop-up with a mystery prize is intriguing. It’s more inspiring than a typical newsletter or offers pop-up.

The home page is pretty minimal, with shopping options based on category. Shopping for products and adding them to your cart is user-friendly. As we browse the shopping page, they display product images with quick options to add to your bag.

Peak Design

Peak Design

The website for Peak Design opens with an engaging landing page that forces visitors to take action, whether signing up for the newsletter or declining the offer. Either way, it’s an immediate engagement with customers.

A notable feature is the video on their home page about who they are and how they started their business. This connects with their customers, which is the first step to building customer loyalty.

Flourist

Flourist

One of my favorite websites on this list, Flourist features an eye-catching design with gorgeous product photos. Their home page shows a display of featured flour products, with visible pricing and an option to quickly add to your cart.

The top of each section on the home page includes action buttons to travel to the dedicated page to shop for all available products.

My favorite part of this website is the color scheme. The neutral-toned theme flows through the background and in every product photo, which ties the entire site together.

Artisaire

Artisaire

Artisaire is a charming online wax seal boutique. Their website has a minimalistic feel to it with its elegant color palette.

The navigation menu is easy to find and includes a search bar with detailed drop-down menu options.

The header image is high quality and shows the viewer what the business is, but the call to action is hard to read. I suggest enlarging the call to action or moving it to a less busy header image area to maximize readability.

Huel

Huel

Huel is a great example of using visual hierarchy on your website. The headlines are large with smaller text shown on a white background and eye-catching action buttons.

The home page is organized with dedicated sections for each part of the brand, from product information and ingredient lists to product reviews. This makes it easy for users to find what they’re looking for with the least amount of effort.

The accessible chat option is perfect for users looking for quick answers to shipping questions or order issues.

Kylie Cosmetics

Kylie Cosmetics

Kyler Jenner’s popular brand, Kylie Cosmetics, is not disappointing. The home page opens with a full-screen header slider, showing professional photography of the products, and Kylie herself.

Throughout the site, photos and other elements match the color scheme of the background, making the whole site memorable and flowing together.

A notable element of the site is the useful ability to shop the social media feed. You can watch engaging videos or browse Instagram photos, shop the looks, and find specific products. With social media being a large part of people’s lives, features like this are increasingly important.

Soso

Soso

The website for Soso is full of large, vibrant colors and fun photography showing off their products. The site’s design is minimalistic, even through the product pages, which feature only a single product photo and pricing information.

While the minimalist design is attractive, adding different content and typography elements can help connect more with the customers. Having a brand story or introduction displayed somewhere on the home page is a great way to do this.

Rowan

Rowan

The website for Rowan dog products is engaging, opening with a large header video and a distinct call to action. The home page is well organized and uses a bold purple color to highlight primary elements and make them easy to see.

I love the option to browse for products based on fur type. This is a great feature for new pet owners or those unsure of what product to use for their dogs.

The Ridge

The Ridge

The Ridge sells everyday products designed for toughness, and their website displays this perfectly. The header image shows a large preview of their products, with large text and an action button on top.

While browsing the site, the sticky header allows for easy navigation, no matter where you are. You can also use the sticky header to change the language simply by selecting your desired flag. This is huge for being inclusive of a broader audience on your website.

Helm Boots

Helm Boots

The website for Helm Boots is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The home page opens with a clear brand message and a white action button.

As we browse the home page, they separate the shoes into different categories, shown alongside a real customer review. From there, the product pages are easy to use. Customers have to simply select their size and add to their cart or view payment options.

VICI

VICI

The website for VICI, an online women’s boutique, features quality product images and a straightforward checkout process.

Their home page has a large header image, but the layout of the elements adds a bit of visual clutter. The banner above the header image is slightly pixelated, which lowers the high-quality visual of the rest of the site.

The product pages include hover-over effects to view different angles of the products. I like this feature because it removes an extra step for customers to take before purchasing the product.

Pipette

Pipette

Pipette has great use of branding on its Shopify website. The color theme throughout their backgrounds, even in their product photos, blends to create an overall flowy website.

It’s easy to tell what the shop does and what products they sell from the header image, which includes a high-quality product photo and a prominent call to action.

The product page is impressive. However, changing the redirect for the “Add to Cart” option on the product page to a simpler pop-up image rather than loading to a new page could improve the functionality.

Dona Jo

Dona Jo

Dona Jo sells apparel for Tennis, Pickleball, and more. Visiting their website, they display a large header image. However, the header image doesn’t scale up well, and for larger screens, the image is low quality.

Following the action button in the header leads you to a product listing page. The products shown could be improved by having high-quality photos and including a clear action button alongside them. Not having an action button next to your products creates an extra step for shoppers, which could lead them to find a different shop, no matter how good the quality is.

Rainbow Vision

Rainbow Vision

The Rainbow Vision website is quirky and has great use of white space. Upon opening the site, you’re greeted with a large header and a call to action.

Unfortunately, on top of the colorful and busy background image, the typography shown on top is hard to see. This includes the site’s main navigation menu. Having a solid color background image or experimenting with different fonts and sizes could improve this.

The rest of the site is stunning, with high-quality photography and design elements.
